The Ontario Cycling Association is hosting two Virtual Challenge events for the early 2022 virtual race season on January 23rd and February 27th. Due to feedback and overall popularity, these two races will take place on the Zwift virtual racing platform. Both events take place on the newest Zwift traveling destination of the Makuri Islands map which was released in November of 2021.
The first race visits the popular downtown crit-style race on a map only accessible during races where laps will be just over 3 km in length. The second race may have longer lap distances, but the course choice gives participants four virtual sprint jersey and power-up opportunities each and every lap. The Zwift training platform combines the virtual training and racing experience with a video-game style animation depicting city and country landscapes along with bystanders and other great details to make your indoor riding experience both exciting and enjoyable.
You can commemorate your participation in the Ontario Cycling Association Virtual Challenge Events by purchasing your own OCA ESPORTS Series Jersey.
