Our bodies are fueled by trillions of microscopic powerhouses called mitochondria. When mitochondria don't function properly, devastating health issues and even death can result. Mitochondrial disease can affect anyone at any age. There is no cure.

MitoCanada is dedicated to creating a world where all lives are powered by healthy mitochondria. 

Established in 2010 by a group of passionate parents of children with mitochondrial disease, this national foundation works tirelessly to support Canadians living with or at risk of developing mitochondrial disease.
